Overview

Sometimes when the City Numbers number is called it will just ring with no answer or connection to the termination number.  This article gives a possible solution to this issue in the information below.

After working through the Troubleshooting Overview, you find that both the City Numbers number and the termination number will ring out.  This article can be sent to the customer along with the links to the test calls made and an explanation that the termination is having the same issue as the dialed number.

Solution

In many cases like this, we have found that the termination number will just ring as well.  When testing the City Numbers phone number, also test the termination number to see if it will allow a connection.  Please review the scenarios below.

If the termination number just continues to ring, have this reviewed by the provider for that number.
